Below is a list of typical elements we have to plan when considering the external refurbishment of a building.
- Erection of scaffolding and Health & Safety related equipment and plant
- Renewal of the roof includes the tiles, slates, battens, membranes, sarking, flashing etc
- Application of the chemical rendering system
- Installation of UPVC fascias and boards
- Asbestos removal - it is essential to ensure that both our staff and our customers are kept safe from the potential harmful effects caused if asbestos is disturbed. We ensure that all asbestos is handled correctly and disposed of in the correct way.
- Chimney removal - requires us to employ gas fitters to ensure all connections and gas services are made safe
- Wall mounted boiler flues are removed and reinstalled by qualified and approved Gas Safe engineers
- Gutter and downpipe renewal
- External paintwork if required
- Removal and refitting of the telecomms cables
- Removal and refitting of satellite dishes and aerials
- We use experienced qualified sealant contractors to ensure the building is sealed and weathertight
- All electrical fixings are made safe via qualified electricians who decommission and recommision any fixing as required.
- Debris disposal - we at Marley Contract Services ensure that all debris is sorted and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way
We have our own in house Plant division that controls the issue, condition and safe use of our plant and equipment. We only use serviced equipment and have a strict regime of maintenance to help ensure not only the safety of all involved but also to help the work stay on plan and on time.
We are also committed to the hiring and training of apprentices on the many aspects of external refurbishment and enter into programs with the local councils to ensure we continue to invest into the future of the construction industry.
